Cross-Brace Chair

A chair with an X-shaped cross brace between the rear legs, visible from behind. The cross brace turns racking (the seat trying to twist sideways) into pure tension/compression along the diagonals — far more efficient than a wider rear stretcher would be. Lets the rest of the rear structure stay slim.
