User Manual

This manual explains how users can use the current Orca website, account system, beta waitlist, Community models, and DIY order flow. It should be read together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and AI-Generated Design Notice.

Account registration and login

Users may create an account with a username, email address, and password, or use supported third-party login providers where available. Users must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before account creation or login.

Language and regional settings

Orca supports English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. The website may select a default language based on the user's browser or system language, and users may switch language manually from the navigation bar.

Joining the beta waitlist

After signing in, users can submit a beta waitlist application from the account page. The form may request role, region, CAD experience, usage scenarios, trial intention, interview consent, design upload consent, and other information needed to review access. Submitted information is handled under the Privacy Policy.

Community access

Community is currently available only to users approved for beta access. Users without approved access may be redirected to the account page to submit or wait for a trial application. Orca may approve, pause, or revoke access to protect product quality, safety, legal compliance, and platform security.

Browsing and filtering models

Approved users can browse Community models, search posts, and filter by type, material, manufacture method, assembly method, license, price, release date, and popularity. Tags and filters are informational and may not cover every engineering or legal requirement.

3D preview and parameters

Model detail pages may include an interactive 3D preview, component selection, material and manufacturing labels, and adjustable parameters. Parameter changes can regenerate a model, but users should still review feasibility, dimensions, safety, and manufacturing requirements before use.

Ordering DIY packages

During beta, approved users may be allowed to claim one model package for free. The order package may include STEP files, SVG drawings, rendering images, metadata, and an instruction file. The AI-Generated Design Notice must be accepted before downloading a package.

Safety and compliance

Community models are not a substitute for professional engineering review, legal review, manufacturer review, or local compliance checks. Users must not use Orca for illegal, harmful, dangerous-goods, weapons, or other prohibited purposes, and should confirm local laws before downloading, fabricating, assembling, selling, importing, exporting, or using any design. Users should read the AI-Generated Design Notice carefully before fabricating, assembling, selling, or using any design.

Licenses and rights

Each model may have its own license, such as CC BY-NC or another listed license. Users must comply with the license attached to each dataset or model package. Platform-wide copyright and user-content rules are described in the Terms of Service.

Account settings and support

Users can manage avatar, username, personalization details, password, issue reports, and available account settings from the user center. Some features, including subscriptions, API keys, or usage dashboards, may be disabled during beta. Support requests may be sent to [email protected].
