Dining Table

A six-seat dining table with a wide top made from twenty parallel slats nailed onto a frame of four legs and rails. The slatted top stays dimensionally stable through seasonal humidity swings — wide solid panels would cup and crack, but a row of narrow slats lets each piece move independently. The slat gaps also let crumbs and water disappear instead of pooling.
